Catalog first: browse what we teach and sell before the story unfolds. Fern Beaver keeps a short list — soy container candles, beeswax tapers for evening tables, and seasonal scent labs that rotate with the monsoon calendar.
What makes a soy pour “clean” in class?
We weigh wax, hold temperature windows, and choose wicks for jar diameter — not guesswork. Students leave with notes on cure time and first-burn rules so home results match the studio jar.
Do you teach beeswax blending?
Yes, in limited Saturday sessions. Beeswax needs different heat patience and wick choices. We cover safety, mould release, and how to avoid tunneling on thicker tapers.
How do scent labs work?
Short guided blending with measured drops, blotter notes, and a single finished jar. No mystery oils — every bottle on the bench is labeled with flashpoint guidance.
Can I order gift sets without a class?
Ready sets appear on the studio shelf when batches cure. Email [email protected] for current stock; we do not promise unlimited inventory.
Where do I find hours and directions?
14 Harbor Street, Penang. Wednesday to Saturday 11:00–18:00. Street-level entrance beside the harbor walk; look for the fern stencil on the door glass. Phone +60 3-3968 7949.
Classes stay adult-focused and unhurried. You will stand, pour, and label — not watch a demonstration from the back row. Bring closed shoes; we provide aprons and heat-safe tools.
